Our team at InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong have been fighting to celebrate with all of you our 5th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Whisky Festival. We have been hoping that the situation could improve early enough, so that lifted restriction on gatherings would have allowed us to make the Hong Kong Whisky Festival happen in a safe and pleasant environment.

We, regrettably, are unable to go ahead with the festival in April 2021 due to the latest development of the COVID-19 pandemic, and as such we are reluctantly forced to further postpone the event. The 5th Hong Kong Whisky Festival is now rescheduled to 11 and 12 September 2021. Spanning across two days, this event is going to be our biggest whisky festival ever. The additional day will give us more time to explore, learn and enjoy diverse whiskies in a more relaxed ambiance. For any inconvenience that may have caused owing to the postponement, we would like to extend our sincere apologies to you all and we very much appreciate your loyal support to the Hong Kong Whisky Festival over the years.

Festival Etiquette

We want you to enjoy your visit to the Hong Kong Whisky Festival,
so please take note of the following...

  • The Hong Kong Whisky Festival (thereafter “The Festival”) supports responsible drinking and hence, advises visitors to enjoy the festival and only to drink in moderation.
  • The Festival is a tasting event and drinking too much will not be tolerated.
  • Observance of the following house rules will ensure that all guests, visitors, exhibitors and employees can enjoy the festival in a safe and pleasant way.
  • Upon entry, your ticket will be scanned and you will be issued with a festival wristband which you are required to wear during your visit.
  • Visitors are strongly advised to eat properly prior to the event and during the festival.
  • Drink plenty of water throughout your stay.
  • In the interest of a good festival atmosphere and especially the welfare of exhibitors, visitors will not be served alcohol if they appear to have consumed too much.
  • Do not bring empty sample bottles with you to The Festival and pour the samples provided by the exhibitors in other containers other than the official tasting glasses provided.
  • Festival Staff will be on-site throughout the event to help if you have any questions (identified by “Staff” T-Shirts & badges)
